On the 18th of September 2014 the AER CCP 6 Sub-Panel published this report in response to TransGrid’s proposal to increase the DMIA allowance from $1 million/year to $18 million over the five year regulatory period between 2014 – 2019. Among the key conclusions of the report, the AER CCP stated that “TransGrid does not appear to have implemented any actual demand reduction solutions, and does not appear to have progressed any specific opportunities from the DMPP Plan” and “Instead, TransGrid expended the allowance on various research and investigation projects, none of which were particularly innovative”.
