In their 2013 annual report, Endeavour Energy reflected on their PeakSaver residential DM program which was implemented in the Rooty Hill Zone Substation supply area. The PeakSaver program (which allows customers to manage their own consumption for financial rewards) was implemented alongside CoolSaver – a program that controlled peak demand energy consumption using air conditioners. The three-year period for both programs has recently concluded with Endeavour Energy now seeking to expand both programs. The report stated that the demand reduction recorded was as high as 35% for the PeakSaver program (1.7 kVA per customer).
