AER announce demand management workshop in Sydney

The Australian Energy Regulator have invited all demand response stakeholders in the NEM to participate in an interactive workshop to discuss the development of a new demand management incentive scheme and innovation allowance mechanism in Australia. The open workshop will be held on the 20th of September 2016 at the Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport Hotel.

The AER has stated that the objective of the workshop is to create “a platform for people to express their views on how to develop an outcome that is workable and possible” and aims to provide a “transparent approach to capture a range of issues in keeping with our commitment to good stakeholder engagement”.

Stakeholders who wish to participate must register their attendance before Monday the 29th of August 2016. Full details of the workshop can be found on the AER website here.
