Last month Endeavour Energy published it’s final assessment on the Box Hill and Box Hill North Greenfield Supply Areas. The report attempts to demonstrate the basis for an option to address the network limitations within the area.
Two options were evaluated in the report. Option 1 involves the extension of 2 x 22kV feeders from Mungerie Park Zone Substation together with the conversion of the existing 11kV network in the area to 22kV at a combined cost of $8 Million. While option 2 involves the immediate construction of a zone substation together with the conversion of the sparse 11kV network in the area to 22kV.
The report included the results of analysis undertaken for Gross Market Benefits, Net Market Benefits, Sensitivity and Scenario Assessment and Economic Timing. The report concluded that option 1 was the preferred choice as it presents the greatest net market benefits.
The full report has been made available on the Endeavour Energy site here.
